reflection

When it comes to writing, the way I talk is how I write and that’s where I know I won’t get far in school if I continue to write the way I talk. I am trying to transform my writing skills into formal writing.  It’s actually weird because I love reading, but only if the book is interesting. Coming to college I never wrote a research paper before I was worried my paper wasn’t going to make sense. I know how to give good detail to a paper. When it comes to writing an intro and thesis it takes me a very long time just to have one. For the future I need to make sure I keep going to the writing center on a consistent basis. They helped me a lot throughout this semester, but doing my papers at the last minute would give me a not so good grade. I always got a grade that showed I put no effort into my work. This is not just for my English class also with my other classes as well. I though being able to have access to read my classmates blog was pretty cool. I learned new things I didn’t know. I read things that I new but got more information about it. Especially with reading “The Food Nation” everyone had their on perspective on that book. Reading “The Food Nation” I never knew about how McDonalds got started as well as Disney world. My confidence level on writing is very low. English throughout high school was one of my weakness right along with world history. While I am in LaGuardia Writing will always be required until I transfer to a fashion school. Going forward I feel as though I will get more comfortable in my writing. Moving on to my next my English class I hope I will be able to write better papers and I am more knowledgeable about writing researcher papers.  My major is Fashion merchandising, writing will not play I big part in my future. If it does I will be writing about things I already know when it comes to fashion.
